Posted by: razmear on 2010-03-09, 22:08:16 Check your local craigslist. I got my 55gal for $60 including the pump. Built the stand myself for about $20. You can even have save your search as an RSS Feed to have the posting emailed to you as they come up. eb |

Posted by: Bailey H on 2010-03-09, 21:56:38 Depends on what size your getting but the two most expensive things are the filter and the tank. 10 gallon tank is probably like 35 bucks and the filter is 20. not sure which size you want but i have a 40 gallon tank that i got off craigs list and it was 70 bucks and i bought a 60 gallon filter that was i think 50 to 60. the other accessories are not the expensive part it is primarily those two my tank cost about 250 so the filter and tank took a little more than half of the cost. also keep in mind that i got that tank very CHEAP. |

Posted by: Nina20055 on 2010-03-09, 21:59:47 Depends on the size you want.. i have seen some start at $8 and are very very small only big enough for maybe one betta some go up to hundreds or thousands of dollars..it all depends on what you are looking and how many fish you want. I have a 28 gal cost around $200...the bigger the tank the bigger the price. search google or petco or petsmart so you get a idea. |

Posted by: Animal lover on 2010-03-10, 04:19:15 It all varies... Bigger tanks are always better, because they allow more room for beginner mistakes, and actually arent as much work as small ones. You can get a complete 40 or so gallon setup, including heater, filter, stand, tank, light etc for around $300AUD - brand new. Shop around. Search on eBay & craiglist also, for cheap, but also good quality second hand tanks. |
